Forgiveness

Forgiveness 

To forgive is to let go, 

so you can carry on to grow 

and find new feelings as you go,   

so to heal the pains those others

ploughed and sowed 

in the ground beneath your feet, 

never let those others deplete 

the resources you hold strong, 

envy is for fools and it is so wrong

instead hold on to love,

for my anchored loving glove 

is grappled to your heart

and has been from the start, 

so remember when their burdens 

are still burning after you, 

that all you need is me 

and all I need is you.
